Our wedding

Our wedding

We've been married for three months now, and I haven't tired of looking through the photos, watching our wedding video, and day dreaming back to that afternoon. My hope for the day was that it would feel personal, comfortable, elegant, and romantic, with an element of lightheartedness and humor, and we got just that. It felt like us. I enjoyed each moment, soaking up the day, from getting ready with family, special moments with friends, to the sense of deep contentment, and the excitement of committing to a life of loving and growing with Greg.

By the time I was walking down the aisle, I felt totally in the moment. It was such a incredible experience, seeing a group of our closet family and friends gathered together, with Greg waiting at the end of the isle.

Our dear friend Whitney was our officiant and wrote the most perfect and personal ceremony. Whitney has shown us love and support during the wonderful moments and challenging ones, and it meant so much to have her standing up there with us…

I knew from the beginning that I wanted long tables. I loved the feel of everyone sitting together, and looking down the table at so many special people.

The property was stunning, with so many beautiful tucked away corners.

Catching the last of the sunlight with our photographer, Rachel Thurston. Rachel flew out from Kauai, so the first time we met her was the morning of the wedding. I felt totally at ease with her and loved her warm, confident, creative spirit.

With all the other wedding plans, our first dance was a bit of an after-thought. We made the most of it though, laughed a lot, and were thankful we chose a short and sweet song, Lovin' In My Baby's Eyes by Taj Mahal.
