I spent the week before last in New York, and I realized it had been years since I had spent more than a couple days in one of my favorite cities. It felt great to be back. Though our trip was jam packed with meetings, I enjoyed a morning of strolling around, excellent dinners with our team, and getting to soak in some of the energy of the city.
During our last day in New York we got quite a surprise. It was announced that Facebook is acquiring the talent of the design firm I work for, Hot Studio. It's been a whirlwind of a week since the announcement. I think there are many exciting opportunities ahead at Facebook, but bittersweet to say goodbye to a place like Hot Studio. Hot has a special mix of talent, people, and culture, which I hope that we carry with us to this new endeavor.
