Home is Where the Heart Is

Perhaps it's getting older, or feeling more settled living with Greg, but I've been excited to make our apartment feel even more like home. We rent, so the improvements have been limited to rearranging what we have, adding a few new pieces of furniture, and hanging art, but all these things have been adding up. Our apartment is beginning to feel like a grown-up home, that reflects us.

As I've been rearranging, and collecting some additions, I've had my eye out for inspiration that resonates with my personal style. These two homes are recent finds that I particularly love.  They both have a great mix of warmth and simplicity, and comfort and character. They're casual enough to be welcoming and livable, but still have great style. And they provide plenty of fodder for a wish list for the future. I'm thinking beautiful ceiling lights (maybe even a modern chandelier) and a claw foot tub!
